The Baltic Quartet

Baltic QuartetThe Baltic Quartet consists of the Gdańsk Academy of Music graduates, the Baltic Philharmonic associates, who are bound together by their common passion, wide understanding of art and common sense of humour. The musicians are successful both in typical projects of classical music as well as in more innovative ones. Their repertoire includes electronic music, popular music and elements of cabaret. Since 2007, they have been members of the Gdańsk Friends of Art Society (Gdańskie Towarzystwo Przyjaciół Sztuki). 

 
Tomasz Diakun 
A chamber violinist, student of Prof. Mirosława Pawlak, holder of the scholarship of the Minister of Culture and Arts. He was the leader of the Academic Symphonic Orchestra in Gdańsk and the Philharmonics in Koszalin. Presently, he is the first violinist of the Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk. The founder of the Unconventional Chamber Orchestra. He was its leader from 1999 to 2003 and it was then that Tomasz Diakun had been recognized as an outstanding organizer and originator of interesting projects combining music with modern dancing, light shows, poetry, cabaret and film. He cooperated with Leszek Możdżer, Adam Sztaba, Zygmunt Rychert, Mirosław Baka as well as with the Gdańsk Theatre of Dance and a cabaret/film group called “Visitors from the Outer Space” (Goście z Kosmosu). 
 
Sylwia Kolińska 
In 1995, she graduated from the Academy of Music in Gdańsk being a student of Prof. Henryk Keszkowski. She was also a student of Prof. Roman Suchecki in chamber music. She participated in mastery classes and chamber music trainings in Weimar, Blankenburg and other places. Since 1994, she has been a violinist in the first violin team in the Polish Baltic Philharmonic. 
 
Tomasz Pozorski 
A student of Prof. Irena Albrecht. From 2002 to 2005, he was a musician of the National Baltic Opera. He has played as a soloist with the Academic Orchestra in Gdańsk, Symphonic Orchestra of Płock and with the Unconventional Chamber Orchestra. Apart from his activities in classical music, he deals also with projects in popular music, including the Sopot Festival, Top Trendy, TVN’s “Dancing with the Stars” (Taniec z Gwiazdami) and other TV programmes by TVN and Polsat. He is also a guest musician in the Adam Sztaba Orchestra. 
 
Kamila Pietrzak 
She graduated from the Academy of Music in Gdańsk in 2005 being a student of Prof. Krzysztof Sperski and dr Tadeusz Samerek. She cooperates with the Symphonic Orchestra of Słupsk and Music Theatre in Gdynia. For two years, she has been playing for the DKD Cabaret.
