He is a laureate of Fryderyk (the annual award in Polish music) for lifetime achievement in music and contribution to the development of Polish music. He is an outstanding violinist and pedagogue, unusual musical personality. These words in no doubt describes Konstanty Andrzej Kulka. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of cooperation Mr Kulka with Polish Baltic Philharmonic we are inviting you to a special concert. Honourable Jubilarian and his guests will be playing at Ołowianka Island on Sunday, May the 18th at 06:00 pm.

To this day has Konstanty Andrzej Kulka played more than 1,500 recitals and concerts with orchestras from all over the world. He performs a lot with the most prestigious musicians in the world, especially at festivals in Lucerne, Bordeaux, Berlin, Brighton, Prague, Barcelona and others. He increases regularly the amount of TV recordings and recordings with his participation. He has also appeared in episodes at albums of his daughter Gaba Kulka. In addition he takes active operations in the scientific fields, as a professor at the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.

His relationship with Gdansk and the Polish Baltic Philharmonic is very strong. Apart from developing a culture of Music in Poland, he has also (as a native of Gdansk) popularized the culture and music of Pomerania. Soon, at May the 18th, we will celebrate a great jubilee – 5o years of cooperation artist with the Baltic Philharmonic.

Wojciech Koprowski - assistant at the University of Music. in Warsaw, Mikolaj Grabowski - PhD student at the Music Academy in Gdansk and Klaudia Kowacz - the youngest student of Professor Ball will also perform in the concert with Maestro Kulka.

The concert program includes works written by outstanding artists, the great personalities of the composition. There will be plenty of Bach and Vivialdi compositions, and in addition the artists will play works of two great Polish composer's from the late eighteenth century, Karol Lipinski.
