Pomeranian Art Awards awarded

We met the winners of the 25th anniversary Pomeranian Art Award. Three winners of the best Artistic Creations in 2023, the Pomeranian Artistic Hope and the Patron of Culture in 2023 were selected. The Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, Mieczysław Struk, also awarded the Great Pomeranian Artistic Award to the most distinguished artists associated with Pomerania.

GREAT POMERANIAN ARTISTIC AWARD (statuette of the Pomeranian Griffin, designed by Maria Kuczyńska, and PLN 30) - winner:

Dorota Kolak - an outstanding theater and film actress (almost her entire career associated with the Wybrzeże Theater). 

Laureates ARTISTIC CREATIONS for 2023 (Gryf Pomorski statuettes and PLN 25):

André Ochodlo (singer, theater director, set designer) - nominated for "Ghetto Songs" - a concert commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and a recital "Five Loves" on the occasion of the artist's sixtieth birthday and thirty-five years of performing on stage;

Jerzy Snakowski (cultural animator, popularizer of opera, musical and ballet) - nominated for directing the operetta "The Princess of Czardas" by Imre Kálmán on the stage of the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk, a fresh and spontaneous performance, as well as for the 15th anniversary season of the series of musical broadcasts "Opera? Si!”;

Łukasz LUC Rostkowski (music producer, rapper, vocalist, composer, lyricist and director of music videos, concerts and shows) - nominated for composing the soundtrack to the film "Chłopi" directed by DK Welchman and Hugh Welchman, music constituting a compendium of Slavic folk music.

POMERANIAN ARTISTIC HOPE (Pomeranian Griffin statuette and PLN 20) - winner:

Karolina Kowalska (actress) - nominated for the title, intricately built, emotional role of "Beautiful Zośka" directed by Marcin Wierzchowski at the Wybrzeże Theater;

PATRON OF CULTURE for 2023 (Gryf Pomorski statuettes):

Laminopol sp. z o. o (distributor of resins and all kinds of additives necessary for the processing of chemically hardened plastics) - awarded for financial support of the Polish Philharmonic Sinfonia Baltica. W. Kilar in Słupsk, the Słupsk Sinfonietta, the NIEMEN NON STOP festival and rock concerts, as well as artists from Słupsk.

Pomeranian Art Award is the most important award of the Pomeranian Voivodeship awarded in the field of culture. Its winners are representatives of the artistic community of our region who in the past year were the authors of an outstanding artistic achievement or contributed to the creation of a unique cultural event. This year the award was granted for the twenty-fifth time.
