It is with great joy that I invite you to participate in the International Organ Music Competition for the twelfth time. Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck. According to tradition, the Competition will take place in Gdańsk - undoubtedly one of the most important centers of organ music in Europe. In the upcoming edition of the event, the Polish Baltic Philharmonic The Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Gdańsk will cooperate with the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Gdańsk. Stanisław Moniuszko in Gdańsk, Parish of St. Corpus Christi, the Basilica of St. Nicholas (Gdańsk Dominican Order) and the Oliwa Archcathedral, where, thanks to the courtesy of the Parish Priests and the Prior and Rector, the competition auditions will take place. As was the case in 2021, the Competition will have a multi-stage formula: starting with qualifications based on video recordings, through two stages of stationary auditions in Gdańsk, ending with the Final Gala at the Polish Baltic Philharmonic.

International Organ Music Competition JP Sweelincka is one of the most important events of this type in Poland. Outstanding representatives of the world of organ music - professors of the best European music centers - have been invited to next year's edition of the Competition, in which interpreters and improvisers will compete. The jury of the Interpretation Competition will include: Dr hab. Bartosz Jakubczak, Ph.D. Krzysztof Lukas, Prof. Roman Perucki, Prof. Martin Sander and Prof. Pavel Svoboda. The participants of the Improvisation Competition will be assessed by: Dr. Martin Gregorius, Prof. Naji Hakim, Prof. Tomasz Adam Nowak, Dr hab. Tomasz Orlow and Prof. Roman Perucki. The winners of the Competition will receive cash prizes, invitations to cooperate in international music festivals, as well as the opportunity to play a solo concert at the prestigious venue of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic.

I am convinced that there will be outstanding musical talents among you, and participation in the Competition will become a breakthrough moment in some of your careers. As always, we will be accompanied by a unique atmosphere based on positive competition, exchange of experiences and creativity, as well as the magical aura of historic Gdańsk - a city that has eternally and constantly inspired artists. I encourage all organists to take part in the 24th International Organ Music Competition. Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, who at the turn of the years contributed to the promotion of many musical talents. Let this event be an opportunity for your personal development, establishing useful contacts and lasting friendships, improving your musical skills and, in particular, gaining valuable experience. It is an honor for me to invite all of you to participate in 12th Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck International Organ Music Competition. According to the tradition Competition will take place in Gdańsk which is one of the most important European center of organ music. The Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk will cooperate with Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, Corpus Christi Church in Gdansk-Morena, St. Nicholas' Church (Dominican of Gdańsk) and Oliva Cathedral and the hearings will be organized there, thanks to Rector, Priests and Prior. 12th edition of the Competition, just as in 2021, will be divided into few stages: first of it: qualification based on video recording, second stage (in-person hearings) and third final stage. The culmination of this event will be Final Concert at Polish Baltic Philharmonic.

Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck International Organ Music Competition is one of the most value events like this in Poland. During the next edition there will be Interpretation Competition and Improvisation Competition as well and they will be judged by prominent representatives of organ music, professors of the best music academies from the whole Europe. We invite Bartosz Jakubczak PhD, DSc, Krzysztof Lukas PhD, DSc, Prof. Roman Perucki, Prof. Martin Sander and Prof. Pavel Svoboda to be the part of jury during Interpretation Competition and Martin Gregorius PhD, Prof. Naji Hakim, Prof. Tomasz Adam Nowak, Tomasz Orlow PhD, DSc and Prof. Roman Perucki as the jurors of Improvisation Competition. The very attractive prizes are waiting for the winners: money prizes, invitations to organ music festivals and also solo concerts in the prestigious Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk.

I am convinced that there are unbelievably talented musicians among you and that the competition will be a major breakthrough in someone's life. The amazing atmosphere of Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck International Organ Music Competition hasn't changed since the last years – we will be enjoying the healthy rivalry and exchanges of experience, as always. I would like to encourage all young organist to take a chance and take part in the Competition, which helps a lot of artists in their music career.
