Pomeranian Art Award is the most important award of the Pomeranian Voivodeship awarded in the field of culture. Its winners are representatives of the artistic community of our region who in the past year were the authors of an outstanding artistic achievement or contributed to the creation of a unique cultural event. This year the award will be granted for the twenty-fifth time.

Gabor Farkas
An excellent Hungarian pianist, born in 1981. He started learning music at the age of five. He is a graduate of the Academy of Music. Ferenc Liszt in Budapest, where he also obtained a doctorate in piano performance and methodology. During his master's studies, his teachers were Sándor Falvai and Attila Némethy, and during his doctoral studies, Zoltán Kocsis and Tamás Vásáry. He then studied at the Lake Como International Piano Academy in Italy under William Grant Naborél.
His talent is appreciated all over the world. In 2009, he won the 6th International Piano Competition. F. Liszt in Weimar, where he also won the audience award and the award for the best performance of a Haydn sonata. In 2003, he won the Hungarian Radio Piano Competition, and in 2001, he won the third prize in the International Piano Competition. F. Liszt in Budapest. In May 2009, he received the Gundel Art Prize, and in November 2009, the Prima Junior award. In March 2008, he received a special state award for the best young artist of the year. In 2012, he received the highest state musical distinction in Hungary, the Prize. F. Liszt.
He charmed audiences in Europe and around the world with his uplifting performances. He has performed in significant concert halls in Hungary, Austria, Germany, Italy, France, Finland, England, Switzerland, Spain, Canada, Vietnam, South Korea, Japan and China. He also participated in master classes conducted by professors: Malcolm Bilson, Dmitry Bashkirov, Fou T?song, Arie Vardi, Ferenc Rados, Péter Frankl, Rolf Dieter Arens, John Perry, Brigitte Engerer and William Grant Naboré. His debut album titled An evening with Liszt, and released by Warner Music in November 2008, won the prestigious Grand Prix awarded by the International Liszt Society for the best recording of Liszt's music in 2009. The second album, also released by Warner Music in July 2011, was a recording of the concert inaugurating the Liszt Year 2011, during which he performed with the National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Zoltán Kocsis. This recording was recognized in Hungary as the exemplary recording of the Liszt Year.

George Tchitchinadze
One of Georgia's most beloved artists, who quickly gained recognition from the audience and critics due to his impressive skills, taste and imagination, charisma, as well as warmth and sensitivity in contacts with the audience and musicians. Maestro began his career as an opera conductor in 1998, conducting the Gala Concert during the Tbilisi International Opera Festival. Currently, he teaches conducting class and heads the Opera Department at the Tbilisi State Conservatory.
George Tchitchinadze has collaborated with several Polish orchestras, such as Sinfonia Iuventus, Sinfonia Varsovia and the Orchestra of the National Forum of Music in Wrocław. Recently, he conducted Christmas and New Year concerts with the Georgian Chamber Orchestra in Ingolstadt, Germany, and the Orchestra of the National Forum of Music in Wrocław, with which he often gives concerts. He went on many concert tours, including: around Israel with the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet, performing in Jerusalem, Quiriat Haim, Herzelii and Rishon LeZion. He conducted such orchestras as the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the Lithuanian National Chamber Orchestra, the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra and the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra.
The maestro also led the orchestra of the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet, conducting, among others, Verdi's Aida, Leoncavallo's Pagliacci and Mozart's Don Giovanni. He also collaborated with the Chamber Orchestra of St. Krzysztof as part of the Vilnius Alternative festival. He also served as Music Director of the International Music Festival in Saga (Japan), during which he conducted the famous Orchestra of the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg.
George Tchitchinadze also conducted the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Dutch Symphony Orchestra in Enschede. Maestro collaborated with Sinfonia Varsovia in Warsaw, Bilbao, Minsk and Japan - with them he made his debut at the La Roque d' Antheron festival in August 2010.
